Impact of the Long School Break on Road to Hope Children
As school resumed in January, a number of Road to Hope (RTH) children decided to pursue vocational education to focus on a trade.
Road to Hope Sponsor Highlight – Alice Wolf & Getrude
Alice has been a nurse for 37 years and is a patient care coordinator at Center for Hospice Care. Getrude lives in Kyankwanzi District of Uganda with her four siblings (two of whom are also on the RTH program) and their father, who is a farmer.

On January 10th, 2022, Uganda’s schools reopened after what may be the world’s longest pandemic-related closure. An estimated one-third of students will not return to school in Uganda this month.
Supporting Children Through Regional Road to Hope Retreats

Coming Full Circle
Stephen became a student in the Road to Hope (RTH) program in November of 2012 with the goal of becoming a clinical officer (which requires training similar to that of a physician assistant in the US).
